The Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada today announced the appointment of Mick Kelly to the position of vp, sales, retail markets.

In his new role, Kelly will be responsible for the merged Standard Life Mutual Funds (SLMF) and insurance products distribution teams across the country, with the objective of further consolidating the newly implemented distribution strategy.

Kelly joined Standard Life just over six years ago as senior consultant, SLMF. Most recently, he was regional vp, retail markets, for Western Canada in Vancouver.

In his new position, Kelly will be based in Calgary.
