Amarinder Singh Lall, also known as Mark Lall, has been charged with fraud in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Alberta Securities Commission said Wednesday.
The ASC brought forward the fraud allegation, which is one of 10 charges it laid in connection with the illegal sale of securities issued by either Lall or Laxum Capital LLP.
The other charges include making misleading statements, acting as an advisor without being registered, trading in securities without being registered, and distributing securities without a prospectus or applicable exemption.
Lall will make a first appearance in provincial court in connection with these charges on December 20.
