Russell Investments Canada Ltd. today announced the appointment of Foyston, Gordon & Payne and Aurion Capital as new managers in the Sovereign Canadian Equity Pool. The pool is one of the multi-manager pools in the Sovereign Investment Program.
Foyston’s target weight within the Pool will be 28% while Aurion’s will be 22%. Coincident with this appointment, Connor, Clark and Lunn and Sanford Bernstein will no longer be managers in the pool
Foyston will also be added as a new manager in the Russell Canadian Equity Fund, with a target weight of 24% of the fund. The fund is one of the underlying multi-manager funds in LifePoints Portfolios.
Coincident with this appointment, CC&L will no longer be a manager of the fund.
Russell views these changes as an enhancement to the Canadian equity portfolios. It has high confidence in Foyston and Aurion’s ability to provide excess return potential for investors.
