Quebec’s securities regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers, announced Friday that some costs and fees are increasing by 2.6 per cent in the new year for laws it administers.

The changes, made annually on Jan. 1, are based on increases to the Consumer Price Index for Canada as of Sept. 30.

The increases apply to several fees charged by the regulator under the Securities Act, the Deposit Insurance Act and the Derivatives Act.
