Franklin Templeton Investments Corp. has expanded its Canadian line-up with the introduction of a new Canadian focused investment portfolio, the Franklin Templeton Canadian Growth Portfolio, and two new Canadian equity funds, the Bissett All Canadian Focus Fund and the Franklin Templeton Canadian Small Cap Fund.

The new Canadian growth portfolio – part of the Quotential Program – will include the two new funds along with several other Franklin Templeton Investments’ funds.

“Many Canadians hold a large part of their investments in Canadian securities so it’s essential they diversify that portion of their portfolio,” said Don Reed, President and CEO, Franklin Templeton Investments, in a release. “Our new Canadian growth portfolio includes large and small cap funds, income trust and dividend-paying stock funds, and is further diversified by investment style.”

Managed by Franklin Templeton Investments Private Client Group, the Franklin Templeton Canadian Growth Portfolio includes: Bissett Income Trust and Dividend Fund; Templeton Canadian Stock Fund; Bissett Small Cap Fund; Bissett Large Cap Fund; and also features the new Bissett All Canadian Focus Fund and Franklin Templeton Canadian Small Cap Fund.

The new Bissett All Canadian Focus Fund invests 100% in Canadian securities and can have exposure to income trusts. The fund uses an investment model designed by Bissett Investment Management to create a portfolio of Canadian securities optimized to produce long-term capital appreciation with moderate risk.

The second new fund will focus on the niche Canadian small cap market. Franklin Templeton Canadian Small Cap Fund is a GARP-style fund that invests in Canadian small cap equities with a long-term capital appreciation focus. It will be sub-advised by Acuity Investment Management.

The Quotential Program — with more than $1.5 billion in assets — now offers seven separate portfolios designed to meet the different investment objectives and risk tolerance of Canadians. Each Quotential Portfolio is available at a minimum investment of $25,000 per portfolio.

The Franklin Templeton Canadian Growth Portfolio and the Bissett All Canadian Focus Fund are also offered in tax class versions.
