Toronto-based BlackRock Asset Management Canada Ltd. plans to terminate six iShares exchange traded funds (ETFs), the company announced on Thursday. The funds will terminate on Sept. 4.

The decision to terminate the ETFs is based on an ongoing process to review its product lineup, BlackRock Canada says, and to ensure the lineup meets the evolving needs of its clients.

The six funds to be terminated are: iShares Broad Commodity Index ETF (CAD-Hedged); iShares Oil Sands Index ETF; iShares China All-Cap Index ETF; iShares S&P/TSX Global Mining Index ETF; iShares Latin America Index ETF; and iShares S&P/TSX Venture Index.

Units of each of the terminating funds will cease trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and be delisted from the exchange on Aug. 27, BlackRock Canada says.
