Paterson, who will be based in Toronto, will be responsible for expanding Chase’s credit card business in Canada and managing day-to-day Canadian operations including marketing, customer service and strategy as Canada Card Executive for Chase Canada.

“Rob’s appointment to this role demonstrates our continued commitment to expanding our brand and operations in Canada. Rob has a wealth of experience in financial services; and our organization, and ultimately our customers, will benefit greatly from his leadership,” said Harry DiSimone, executive vice president, Chase Card Services. “We are delighted that Rob has joined Chase to lead our card team in Canada.”

Most recently, Paterson was at McKinsey & Co. where he led the financial services group Asia region. Prior to that, at CIBC, he was the small business segment head, and was responsible for its strategic direction. While at CIBC, he was president and CEO of BizSmart, a no-fee daily small business bank in association with Staples Canada.
