ACE Canada has appointed Steven Lucas as vice president, national accounts, the Toronto-based operating division of the Zurich-headquartered ACE Group said Monday.
Lucas will be responsible for leading the business development strategy and will act as the principal contact for ACE Canada’s national account segment. He will report to David Brosnan, country president, ACE Canada.
With approximately 10 years of insurance experience, Lucas previously served as assistant vice president for ACE Canada’s management liability division. He bagan his career with ACE Canada in 2005 as a senior underwriter specializing in directors and officers insurance. Prior to joining ACE, Lucas spent three years with a global carrier based in Canada, in an underwriting capacity within its executive liability group.
“This role clearly demonstrates ACE’s commitment to deploy our global coverage and risk management capabilities to meet the specialized needs of our large account brokers and clients,” says Brosnan. “Steve is exceptionally adept at client and producer stewardship and will act as their principal advocate.”
Lucas received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Wilfred Laurier University.
