MBNA Canada Bank, Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP) and Best Doctors, Inc. are bringing the Canadian payments and health-conscious markets together with the launch of the innovative Zoomer Rewards MasterCard credit card program, exclusively for CARP members.
The addition of Best Doctors services to the MBNA and CARP partnership will be a benefit to maturing Canadian consumers, CARP says.
The new card is the first and only credit card in the market that offers Canadians exclusive Zoomer Rewards as well as peace of mind by providing access to the Best Doctors program. Best Doctors connects seriously ill Canadians and their treating physicians with renowned specialists to confirm the right diagnosis and the right treatment plan options.
Customers can use the card for everyday purchases such as groceries, gasoline and utility bill payments and will receive an annual 1% cash back credit for all net retail purchases. Customers are automatically enrolled in the Best Doctors program after the first qualifying purchase on the card.
“In partnership with CARP and Best Doctors, we are aiming to provide an invaluable product that meets the lifestyle and the changing demographic needs of our customers,” says Rod Pike, business development and marketing executive, MBNA. “We plan to add the Best Doctors service as a feature on some of our other affinity and co-brand credit card programs, benefiting more consumers who may face uncertainty in managing their medical conditions.”
