TD Canada Trust today announced that it is increasing its branch hours across the country. Beginning November 1, more than 800 branches will be open Monday to Saturday at 8:00 am, serving customers at least 62 hours a week, including 8:00 am to 4:00 pm every Saturday.
Additionally, more than 900 branches will now be open every Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
“We’ve had the longest branch hours of any bank in Canada since TD and Canada Trust came together in 2001,” says Tim Hockey, group head personal banking, Co-chairman TD Canada Trust. “Longer hours have been a very popular feature of the service we offer to customers.”
A recent poll conducted among Canadians from all regions of the country showed that 97% prized convenient hours of operation. TD’s own research shows that, along with good service and choice, convenience is the main attribute customers look for in a bank.
“Longer hours just make sense for our customers. Our customers visit their branches for many different reasons, including financial planning, home or line of credit purchases, and small business advice. And with today’s hectic lifestyles and busy schedules, they really appreciate the flexibility of extended hours,” adds Hockey.
Having even longer hours also means TD will be hiring hundreds of people across the country, creating job opportunities in many communities.
