Canada Trust and TD Banknorth announced today that, effective immediately, TD Canada Trust customers can use any TD Banknorth ABM in the U.S. to access their account without having to pay the PLUS system handling fee of $3.
TD Banknorth customers will have the same access to TD Green Machines when traveling in Canada.
“We’re very pleased to be able to offer this to our customers,” said Tim Hockey, group head, personal banking, co-chair, TD Canada Trust, in a news release.
“It’s one of the advantages of TD’s expansion into the Northeastern region of the U.S. Now when our customers head off on their summer vacations, they know they can access their accounts at hundreds of TD Banknorth ATMs and they’ll no longer have to pay the extra cost of using the PLUS system,” he added.
Headquartered in Portland, Maine, TD Banknorth serves customers throughout the Northeastern United States with nearly 600 branches and over 700 ABMs in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
