egX Group has filed an application with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) to operate egX Canada as an exchange in Ontario.
egX Group previously submitted pre-filing material and has been communicating with the OSC. egX Group intends to seek exemptive relief from other securities regulatory authorities in Canada.
“Ontario is an important market. We look forward to providing investment dealers and investors in Ontario direct access to a liquid and transparent marketplace for buying and selling real estate securities and related products,” says Mary Wong, President egX Canada.
On March 14, the British Columbia Securities Commission recognized egX Canada as an exchange under section 24 of the Securities Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 418.
egX Group is developing the egX, a global securities exchange system designed for the listing and trading of real estate securities and related financial products.
