Scotia Private Client Group clients with Scotia Cassels accounts will be able to view their investment portfolios on the internet through Scotia OnLine, Scotiabank’s internet banking platform, the bank said Monday.

“We believe that giving clients the power to keep themselves informed on how their portfolio is performing will strengthen the relationship with their portfolio manager,” said Tuula Jalasjaa, managing director and head, investment management distribution, Scotia Private Client Group, in a release.

Through Scotia OnLine, bank clients who also have an investment account with Scotia Cassels will be able to view all their Scotiabank accounts, lending products and holdings via a single sign-on platform easily and seamlessly.

Currently, Scotia Cassels mails quarterly statements to clients and provides monthly statements upon request. This system allows clients to get updates when they want them without the need to mail large paper based statements.

“This and future online integrations will allow us to cut down significantly on the number of mailings we make to clients and the amount of paper we use,” added Jalasjaa.
