The Commission has a mandate to foster New Brunswick’s capital markets, leading to economic independence and wealth for the province. At Fullsail, the Commission sought leaders who would commit to the initiative. The progress report lists the recommendations, those who took on the challenge of completing them, and the status of each one.
“The Fullsail Summit was a unique conference in that individuals and organizations actually committed to tackle recommendations and produce results,” said Donne Smith, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission. “We’re pleased with the progress that we’ve seen to date, although there is still much to do.”
The Commission has held regular meetings with the Owners since January and is coordinating the initiative and reporting on its status. This report marks half-way between the first Fullsail Summit and the follow-up conference, to be held 6-8 April 2008, in Saint John. There, delegates will celebrate successes, refine strategies, and consider next steps.
Fullsail initiative participants include entrepreneurs, investors, accountants, financial services, management consultants, economic development agencies, universities and colleges, corporate executives, government, media, lawyers, students, small and medium business owners.
