Toronto-based Invesco Canada Ltd. announced on Tuesday that it is changing the structure of its Trimark Canadian equities team, which will be split into two distinct groups.

Alan Mannik and Clayton Zacharias, both vice presidents and portfolio managers with Trimark Investments, will lead the firm’s Canadian equity team while Brian Tidd, also a vice president and portfolio manager with Trimark Investments, will lead the Canadian equity income team.

Trimark Investments will include 13 investment professionals focused on Canadian equities in the two groups, who will also leverage the knowledge and expertise of the firm’s 19-member global equities and fixed-income teams.

As a result of these changes, Invesco has appointed Mannik as lead manager of Trimark Canadian Fund/Class and Invesco Select Canadian Equity Fund. Mannik replaces Ian Hardacre, the firm’s departing head of Canadian equities, in this role. Zacharias and Mark Uptigrove, vice president and portfolio manager, will support Mannik on these funds.

Mannik is currently lead manager for Trimark Select Balanced Fund and Trimark Canadian Opportunity Fund/Class; Zacharias and Uptigrove will also join him on these funds.

The Canadian equity team, which consists of Mannik, Zacharias and Uptigrove as well as a pool of four analysts, will be responsible for: Trimark Income Growth Fund; Trimark Canadian Endeavour Fund; Trimark Canadian Fund/Class; Invesco Select Canadian Equity Fund; Trimark Select Balanced Fund; and Trimark Canadian Opportunity Fund/Class.

The Canadian equity income team, which consists of Tidd and fellow vice president and portfolio manager Eric Mencke, will be responsible for Trimark Diversified Yield Class and Trimark Canadian Plus Dividend Class.
