The Investment Dealers Association of Canada reports the Superintendent of Securities of Newfoundland and Labrador has delegated the task of registration to the IDA.

Effective October 1, the registration and renewal of reps and IDA firms in Newfoundland has been delegated to the IDA. The review of all submissions will be performed by IDA staff in Toronto; and, upon completion of a review, IDA staff will provide members with a notice evidencing registration and/or approval under the IDA rules.

Applications for registration of a member firm in Newfoundland and Labrador should be sent to the IDA’s Toronto office, whereas individuals will continue to be filed through the National Registration Database.
