The Autorité des marchés financiers announced that five projects have been selected for funding from its Fund for Investor Education and the Promotion of Good Governance.
As at Nov. 30, 2004, a total of 14 projects had been submitted to the AMF. Following an assessment by the Fund’s Management Committee and independent evaluators, five projects were selected.
They include one looking at the performance of boards and director training and another on corporate governance reform in public companies.
As part of the Fund’s second call for projects, individuals or organizations seeking financial support can submit projects until April 30.
The $14.6 million Fund consists of a reserve made up of various fees collected by the AMF and administrative penalties imposed on parties who fail to comply with a requirement prescribed by law or regulation.
