The British Columbia Securities Commission is investigating Sung Wan “Sean” Kim, the principal of Cirplus Futures Inc., a Vancouver-based exchange-contracts dealer, the BCSC said Tuesday.

Anyone who has had recent financial dealings with Kim or is a client of Cirplus is urged to contact the BCSC.

Also, anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of Kim should also contact BCSC staff.

“A Korean translator will be available through our inquiries line at 604-899-6854 or 1-800-373-6393,” the BCSC says.

The BCSC says investors should not send any funds to Kim during the investigation.
