Canada Debt Assistance Inc. (CDA), based in Calgary, says it has completed its franchisee package and is now on track with expansion plans to have several new store front locations by March 2008

Called “financial fitness centers”, the stores will promote products such as debt management, insurance, credit repair, and mortgage and loan products as well as educate consumers on credit.

CSA says this will increase the company’s community profile and will also provide much needed exposure and awareness to the independent credit consulting industry.

The franchises will retail for $16,500 each. The franchisee will increase sales and the revenue of the corporation, while CDA provides back end support, marketing, training, and maintains creditor relationships.

“Everything is coming together now. The creditors could not be happier with all the new changes, however there are still several changes to follow in order to revamp the old CDA Image. The most important is customer service and technology, this will take time and effort, nevertheless it will be done,” said company founder, President & CEO James White, in a release.

Canada Debt Assistance was purchased by Canam Credit Company in 2007 for $1.5 million. The independent credit counseling agency has several store front locations, and manages over $90 million in consumer debt through debt pooling, consumer proposals and settlements.
