Mavrix Fund Management Inc. today reported a wider loss for the third quarter ended September 30.
The Toronto-based investment management company said the loss for the quarter was of $892,000, or 11¢ a share, compared to a net loss of $237,000, or 3¢ a share, in the year-earlier period.
As a result of the 10% year over year increase in assets under management, total third quarter revenue increased from $2.8 million in 2006 to $3.1 million in 2007.
Earnings before interest, income taxes, depreciation and amortization were -$39,000 for the third quarter, compared to $434,000 a year ago.
