Investment management firm AGF has implemented a new wireless software platform to improve the productivity of its mobile sales force. The software was developed by Pyxis Mobile, Inc. of Waltham, Mass.
The launch of Pyxis’ mPlatform, including the installation of both the mWholesaler and mReport modules, accompanied AGF’s rollout of Research In Motion’s BlackBerry 7290 devices.
AGF is using the new platform to provide its mobile sales reps immediate access to enterprise data, including vital sales, CRM and other back-office data to improve the efficiency of internal and external sales operations.
“mWholesaler enables our mobile sales team to access and input data at the point of contact, improving the quality of information across the enterprise,” said Steve Elioff, senior vice president, AGF, in a release “Pyxis Mobile allows us to be more effective at managing advisor relationships which, in turn, is leading to better sales results. The installation happened very fast and the sales team has adopted this new tool without reservations.”
Pyxis says mWholesaler allows AGF reps to wirelessly access contact details from existing CRM systems and can access rep, branch and firm level sales history.
The mReports module is designed for executive management. It provides internal management daily dashboards summarizing up-to-date sales activities, in addition to daily reports highlighting investment updates, company financial summaries, operation activities and IT status.
Together, the two applications are being used to improve the communication between both internal and external AGF sales resources.
The deal with AGF is the largest win for Pyxis in Canada to date. The platform is already in use at 10 of the top 20 investment managers in the U.S., and in numerous other financial services firms outside of the mutual fund marketplace.
