Action Direct, the direct investing service of RBC Investments, today introduced Asset Mix, a calculator that will help clients determine the right asset allocation required to reach their financial goals.
“Asset Mix serves as a reality check for investors,” says Grant Rasmussen, president and CEO of Royal Bank Action Direct. “It shows investors whether they are holding the right mix of investments in their portfolio. Then, they can decide if they need to make changes to meet their goals.”
With Asset Mix, clients will answer a series of questions about their investment objectives, risk tolerance, current personal or family financial situation, and investment experience as well as timelines needed to reach their goals. Based on this information, clients will be provided with an in-depth report that will outline the mix of fixed income securities, equities and cash they should be invested in based on their investing profile, habits and goals.
Clients can create up to five different scenarios and each asset allocation model can be saved for use as reference. Future financial calculators will help clients plan for retirement, major purchases and education.
“The right asset mix can have a huge impact on whether investors reach their desired objectives,” adds Rasmussen. “We want to provide direct investors with the tools they need to make informed decisions and access to the right investment products to meet their investment needs.”
