The Ontario Securities Commission said Wednesday that it is operating at reduced levels to conserve power following a request from the Ontario government.
The OSC said it continues to provide essential services to ensure market participants are able to conduct business.
The commission said it will not publish the regular weekly Bulletin for the week ending Friday August 22.
It asks for co-operation in not calling or e-mailing the OSC with non-urgent matters until the Ontario state of emergency has been lifted.
In a statement, the OSC said it is sensitive to the difficulties market participants may have encountered due to the recent power outage, and has the flexibility to use a balanced and common sense approach to help with problems that may have arisen.
Where applicable, market participants are encouraged to discuss their individual situation with their usual OSC contact person, or all the OSC inquiries & Contact Centre at 1-877-785-1555 to be directed to the appropriate manager.
