Toronto-based IA Clarington Investments Inc. Thursday announced the launch of a dollar-cost averaging service for investors who want to invest gradually in the markets.

The service is available on 21 IA Clarington mutual and corporate class funds including the company’s popular Strategic fund family managed by Dan Bastasic, the Focused fund family managed by David Taylor and the Tactical fund family managed by Ben Cheng.

“Dollar-cost-averaging can help mitigate volatility in markets, benefitting investors as more fund units can be purchased when prices are low and fewer when prices rise,” says Eric Frape, IA Clarington’s senior vice president of products and investments.

Investors can participate in the service with as little as a $1,000 initial investment, and there is no cost to investors to participate in the program.
