Trump carrying out a “behind-the-scenes” war on regulation: NBF report

The U.S. Federal Reserve Board announced Thursday that it has launched a Facebook page in order to improve the availability of its news and educational content.

The Fed is already active on other forms of social media such as Twitter and LinkedIn, as well as YouTube and Flickr.

The Fed says that it plans to post its press releases, speeches, testimony, reports, educational materials, frequently asked questions, photos, and videos on its new Facebook page.

While the central bank’s website will remain its primary communication channel, the Fed says that selected announcements will be shared on Facebook after they are first posted on the website.
