Oakville, Ont.-based Surviscor’s scorCard is a semi-annual, impartial assessment of online features and functionality at Canadian online discount brokerage institutions.
Scotia iTrade ranked first with an 84% on the scorCard, which was released on Thursday. BMO InvestorLine came in second with 82% followed by Qtrade Investor with 81%.
Scotia ranked first in the “web usability” category followed by BMO’s platform, which earned top marks in the “getting started,” “website design,” and “account services” categories.
The scorCard, now in its seventh year, consists of seven main categories and 32 sub-categories. The assessment is meant to simulate customer use in over 3,300 objective criteria within multiple service categories weighted to an industry-defined level of importance.
