Toronto-based BMO Investments Inc. has announced potential changes to the investment strategy of BMO International Equity ETF Fund.
The fund invests up to 100% of its assets in securities of an underlying exchange-traded fund — namely, BMO International Equity Hedged to CAD Index ETF (TSX:ZDM).
BMO Asset Management Inc., the manager of the ETF, has announced that a special meeting of unitholders has been called to consider and approve changes to the investment objectives of the ETF such that it will seek to replicate the performance of a new index — MSCI EAFE 100% Hedged to CAD Dollars Index/
The proposed change to the ETF, if approved, will result in corresponding changes to the investment strategies of the fund. The special meeting of unitholders of the ETF will be held on March 28.
