Disnat Online Brokerage today announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Market Perspectives Inc. (MPI), a Calgary-based firm which developed the online educational program, StockSchool Pro.
Under this agreement, Disnat acquired a significant stake in MPI and will now offer its new and current clients complimentary access to the StockSchool Pro program, which has a unit value of $2,995.
Disnat is a division of Desjardins Securities.
“By partnering with MPI, Disnat is enabling its clients to gain access to new, simple and powerful analytical tools that they can then apply to their investment strategy,” says Frédéric Paquette, Disnat’s vp and general manager.
“Disnat is expanding its presence in Ontario and Western Canada. This partnership with MPI is another initiative that will strengthen Disnat’s visibility and market penetration across Canada,” Paquette says.
The StockSchool program was developed with the goal of better equipping self-directed investors and helping them increase their knowledge of financial markets. It includes over 60 online video training sessions which provide participants with the knowledge and tools that should enable them to better identify winning investment opportunities.
“StockSchool aims to give the investor the tools to better identify not only the good investment opportunities in the market, but also the traps and pitfalls to avoid. The program also offers training to improve risk management and avoid common errors that can affect desired results,” says Tyler Bollhorn, StockSchool’s creator.
