Fidelity Investments Canada Ltd. is looking for a new leader, as current president, Jeff Carney, has been appointed president of Fidelity Personal Investments.
The move is part of an executive shuffle at the Boston-based money management giant, FMR Corp. Fidelity Personal Investments is part of Fidelity Brokerage Co.
Fidelity Canada’s director external communications, Kim Flood, says that the firm is now conducting a search for a replacement to head the Canadian division.
The move comes as part of a shakeup at FMR Corp. which sees a new head named for Fidelity Financial Intermediary Services. That vacancy was created when its president moved over to head up Fidelity Brokerage, which needed a new head after its former president, Kevin Kelly, resigned. Kelly was also a former head of Fidelity Canada.
