Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) has enhanced its online Educating Youth resource section in time for Investor Education Month.

Adding an “Ask an Expert” feature specifically for youth, FPSC invites young people to e-mail their financial planning questions to a rotating panel of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professionals for a personal response.

Posted in the Educating Youth resource section in the public hub of the FPSC website at www.cfp-ca.org, the Youth Ask an Expert feature complements the roster of educational materials continually being added to the youth-focused resource section.

FPSC is also offering an updated edition of the popular “Focus On Your Finances, a financial planning tool kit for Canadians aged 15 to 25”. Focus On Your Finances is also a popular tool for teaching professionals, financial planners and parents who talk to youth about financial planning issues. Since the first edition launched last fall, there have been more than 6,000 copies downloaded off the FPSC Web site and over 1,000 print copies distributed.
