Finance Minister Ralph Goodale will deliver a fiscal and economic update on November 14, the federal government said Friday.
Goodale’s report may offer hints of what’s in the next federal budget expected in February.
After the presentation Goodale will take questions from committee members.
On October 14, the Finance Department reported that the federal government ran a surplus of $6.8 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year. At the time, the surplus figure was running $2.2 billion ahead of the same time last year.
