Skylon Capital Corp., manager of VentureLink Group of Funds, is introducing two new labour sponsored investment funds.

The VentureLink Diversified Income Fund and VentureLink Diversified Balanced Fund have received approval for final prospectuses and are now available to Ontario investors. Both funds are managed by an experienced investment team including Susan Coleman, Geoff Horton, Ted Karon and Pierre Michaud.

The Income Fund plans to make investments in a diversified portfolio of eligible business in Ontario focusing its investments on companies operating in traditional business industries. It will endeavour to structure investments to provide regular cash distributions. It anticipates that most of the investments will take the form of convertible debt, debt with warrants, participating debt or preferred shares.

The Balanced Fund will purchase a “zero-coupon” bond designed to return to investors at least their original investment amount. It will provide investors with access to investments in companies that are developing innovative new technologies, products and services in a diversified range of industries including but not limited to information technology, biotechnology, communications, energy, environmental technology and advanced materials.
