Maritime Life matched the employee contributions dollar-for-dollar for a total of more than $419,000 to be donated to the United Way for its member agencies and other community organizations. “As the national annual giving campaign administrators for Maritime Life, we recognize the company and its employees for their strong commitment to community,” said Joanne Linzey, president and CEO, United Way of Halifax Region. “We congratulate them for their increasing support over the years and know their contributions will make a significant impact in communities across the country.”
An additional $13,000 will be forwarded to the United Way from proceeds raised from employee sales of the new book about Maritime Life called Never Content: How Mavericks and Outsiders Made a Surprise Winner of Maritime Life, by award-winning author, Harry Bruce.
