The CUMIS Group Limited has appointed Bob Hague to the role of president, credit union distribution, effective July 26, the company said Wednesday.
“Bob has exceptional leadership skills and is a strong proponent of the co-operative sector,” says Kathy Bardswick, president and CEO, The Co-operators and board chair and CEO, of CUMIS.
“In his new role, Bob will have overall accountability for all of CUMIS’ sales and distribution activities with credit unions, with a focus on building on CUMIS’ strong customer relationships.”
Hague joined Meridian Credit Union in 2001 after 20 years of experience in various senior management roles at the Bank of Montreal. As senior vice president and chief member services officer at Meridian, Hague was responsible for the credit unions’ network of 43 retail branches and eight commercial business centres serving 220,000 members in Central Ontario, Greater Toronto and Niagara.
CUMIS, headquartered in Burlington, Ont., partners with credit unions to deliver insurance and financial solutions. The firm is jointly owned by Co-operators Life Insurance Company and Central 1 Credit Union.
