Toronto-based Women in Capital Markets (WCM) will be launching a new chapter in Calgary later this week.
With the addition of the new Calgary chapter, WCM, which advocates for the advancement of women in the financial services sector, will be represented in Canada’s Big Four cities for the financial services sector (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary) with more than 1,500 members.
The Calgary chapter will officially launch on April 6 with a sold-out event at the Petroleum Club. “We are delighted to have such an enthusiastic response to WCM’s expansion to Calgary from women in the financial industry and the corporate community more broadly,” said Jennifer Reynolds, president & CEO of WCM.
“WCM has a 22-year history of developing professional development initiatives to advance women in their careers which we look forward to bringing to this market,” she adds. “WCM will also work to partner with corporations in Calgary to help them develop and execute initiatives that increase the proportion of women at all levels of the organization, in particular, in the executive suite.”
