TSX Group Inc. has finalized the schedule for the migration of Toronto Stock Exchange symbols to TSX Quantum.

Thirty-six symbols currently trade on the new engine, and the remainder will be added by the end of the month.

The migration will begin on May 9, with the next
set of symbols to begin trading May 12.

TSX Quantum was designed in-house, in contrast to the technology employed by competing marketplaces. Kalafatis adds “This allowed us more control over development and the ability to deliver on time, while showcasing Canadian innovation on a global standard.”
