The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) Tuesday announced the appointment of Pamela McDonald as its new director of communications and education.

McDonald is joining the BCSC from the Toronto Port Authority where she was director of communications and public affairs. She has also worked at TELUS, the B.C. Transmission Corp., the B.C. Olympic Games Secretariat, and as an advisor to former Prime Minister, Jean Chrétien.

“Pamela is a seasoned communications professional, and I look forward to working with her as part of our executive team,” said Paul Bourque, executive director of the BCSC. “I am certain that the BCSC will benefit from her valuable private sector experience and her time in government.”
