Brian Gooding will join Mackenzie Investments as executive vice president, head of distribution, on February 10, the firm said Wednesday.
Gooding will provide senior leadership and strategic direction for all retail, strategic alliance and institutional sales efforts.
His hiring follows the recent acquisition of investment management talent such as Alain Bergeron and Darren McKiernan.
Gooding joins Mackenzie with over 25 years of leadership experience in financial services. Most recently he was senior vice president and general manager of affinity markets at Manulife Financial, where he helped maintain strong strategic direction while managing substantial change. He also served as vice president of wealth management and senior vice president of distribution at Manulife.
Throughout his career, Gooding held progressive senior leadership positions at Fidelity Investments Canada as vice president, distribution and senior vice president, alliance distribution. He started his career as an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities.
Blake Moore, currently executive vice president, head of distribution at Mackenzie Investments, is returning to the United States but will continue to provide support as required through the transition period.
