The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) announced on Wednesday that its upcoming cybersecurity roundtable will examine two scenarios “designed to explore how participants, individually and as a group, would respond in the event of a cyber incident.”
The event, which is scheduled for Feb. 27 at the Ontario Securities Commission’s (OSC) office in Toronto, is not open to the public. Instead, it’s limited to various industry participants, such as marketplaces, clearing agencies, registrants and issuers, along with regulators and cybersecurity experts.
The CSA says the discussion will focus on co-ordination and information sharing between the industry, regulators and others.
The regulators intend to produce a summary report on the discussions that will be made public.
